Friday, 21 February 1868

         The Greenville Independent says that on the 11th
       inst., ANDREW GROVER, a young man of about twenty-
       three years of age, working in the lumber camp of
       Smith & Dazell, about twenty miles north and east
       of Greenville, was killed instantly by a blow from
       a fragment of a falling tree-top striking him on
       the head. The tree-top was detached by one tree
       falling with crushing weight against another. The
       deceased was formerly a resident of the State of
       New York.
