         Accident - A MR. AMOS GOULD, of Bushnell, Montcalm
       county, last Thursday, was engaged in firing a gun at
       a mark with some other persons, and upon loading his
       piece rather heavily it bursted at the lock, carrying
       away a portion of his skull. At last accounts he was
       yet alive, though not expected to recover.

        Transcriber's Note: He did not survive. His name appears
        on the 1860 Census Mortality Schedule for Montcalm county,
        Michigan.
