JEREMIAH D. THOMPSON, of Hudson Township, Monroe County, died on the 16th inst., aged eighty- four years. MR. THOMPSON was born in Dutchess County, New York, in 1789, and removed to Michigan in 1834, in which year he was elected Justice of the Peace in Madison, Lenawee County, in which capacity he served until 1846, and during the time of his long residence in Madison held several other township offices, having been several years Supervisor of the town. In 1841 he was elected one of the Judges of the Circuit Court, which office he held for the term of four years. He was a member of the Legis- lature of Michigan in the years 1838 and 1853, and was also a member of the convention to revise the Constitution of this State. ===========================================================================
