           EDWARD RUBNION, of Pierson, Mecosta county, was shot through the
         left lung on the 19th inst., and it is thought he cannot recover.
         He was drunk and quarrelsome, and the murderer, O. A. RICHMOND, is
         said to have acted in self defense.
