M. SMYTH Friday afternoon. All business places were closed during the services. The sermon was preached by Rev. B. H. Burtt of Ludington. Martin Car- penter, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Kobe and E. L. Cole sang three beautiful pieces. The Masons turned out in uni- form to pay the last tribute to their brother who was one of the founders of this order. Interment was made in the Brookside cemetery beside his wife and daughter who preceded him a few years ago. A profusion of bautfi- ful flowers given by the Masons and loving friends covered the casket in which lay one of Scottville's foremost business men. Frank Dunwell, Geo. N. Stray and H. C. Ransom of Ludington attended the funeral of their brother Mason. ===============================================================================
