                          CLEVELAND CLIFFS BUYS
                          
                  19,500 Acres, Concentrating Works and
                            The Jackson Mine
                            
              Negaunee, Mich., March 8. - A deal was made
            today whereby the Cleveland Cliffs Iron company
            secures possession of all the property owned by
            the Jackson Iron company of this city. The property
            consists of 19,500 acres in the upper peninsula,
            the Negaunee concentrating works and the Jackson
            mine, which is the oldest iron mine in the United
            States.
