The mine is owned by the Cleveland Cliffs Co., and has employed 450 men. A large area of ground over the Salisbury mine caved in Sunday narrowly missing taking down the main engine house, which is now on the brink of a pit some 60 feet deep. It is believed no further caving in is to be feared. Marquette: HENRY HOFFINBECKER and JOHN McMAHON went duck hunting. The small skiff they were in began to fill. The men got rattled and jumped into the water. Before assistance came they were drowned. ==========================================================================
