The movement has been going on gradually for some time and it is feared will ruin the mine. A heavy loss of from $100,000 to $200,000 is con- sidered inevitable. Pumping has stopped and the mine is gradually filling with water. The cavein may come at any time or it may not happen for months. The cause is the entry of water in the lower workings which pumping has so far been unable to prevent. ===========================================================================
