FOUR BODIES ARE RECOVERED Two Others, Supposed to be Dead, Are Missing. Most of Men Reach Suf- face Through Old Workings to Cambria Mine. Negaunee, Mich., May 5. - Fire broke out in the Hartford mine on the third level operated by the Republic Iron & Steel company, at 9:30 o'clock this morning. All but six miners escaped through the old workings which led to the Cambria mine shaft. The dead brought to the surface were: Richard Yelland, and son. August Fredericks. Finnish miner, name unknown Two more men are supposed to be dead. At 2:30 p.m. the company was still pouring three large streams of water into the shaft in the hope of extinguishing the fire. However, it looks now as though the fire would not be controlled for several days. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. ==========================================================================
