Thursday afternoon J. LOBBS received serious injuries in the Lake Superior mine near Ishpeming. Friday afternoon THOMAS WALTON had his left leg taken off at the Winthrop mine by a fall of rock. The same day JOHN LANDERCOCK* was killed by a fall of rock at the Jackson mine and four other miners narrowly escaped. Saturday morning THOMAS CURTIS was instantly killed by a premature explosion of dymamite at the Cambrian mine. A mine inspector will be appointed. *NOTE* Another newspaper calls him Thomas Sandercock. ==========================================================================
