              There were two fatal accidents in Ishpeming
            last Monday. MATT HAMMOND, a miner employed
            at the Cliffs Shafts mine, was killed by a
            fall of ground. FRED JOHNSON was killed by
            the premature discharge of a blast at the
            Lake Superior Iron Company's hematite mine.
