         Among those lost by the burning of the steamer St. Clair,
       on Lake Superior, Sunday morning, was NEIL LEITCH, of Mani-
       stee. Many of our citizens were accquainted with MR. LEITCH,
       and will learn with sorrow of his untimely end. The business
       relations, in former years, between MR. LEITCH and the Editor
       of this paper were of the pleasantest character, and in his
       death we realized the loss of a dear friend.
       
         MR. LEITCH was a young man of excellent business qualifi-
       cations, of high moral character, and the strictest integ-
       rity. By close application to business, conducted always
       upon the principles of honor, and honesty, he had accumu-
       lated a handsome fortune. Manistee loses a most worthy 
       citizen. To his afflicted family we offer our most earnest
       sympathies.

         Two Hundred Dollars Reward - MRS. LEITCH, of Manistee,
       Michigan, widow of MR. NEIL LEITCH, who was lost at the
       time of the barge St. Clair disaster, offers $200 reward
       for the recovery of her late husband's body.
