         GEORGE LEAVER, while skinning a deer he had shot in the
       woods in Marilla township, Manistee county, was shot and
       instantly killed by J. CHEESEBRO who mistook him for a 
       bear. The coroner's jury returned a verdict in accordance
       with the facts and exonerating CHEESEBRO.
