         RACHEL HILL, prominent in the VANDERPOOL murder trial,
       as furnishing the capital of the bank of VANDERPOOL &
       FIELD, was found dead in bed at her residence, at Mani-
       stee, on the 26th December. She has lived alone since
       the murder of FIELD and it is supposed had been dead
       a week when found.
