He carried with him his skates, and while attempting to skate across the Manistee Lake, which lies between Stronach and Manistee, fell through the ice and was drowned. His body was found in the lake Sunday morning, 3d, with one skate on. The deceased was a fine young man and much liked by all. ===============================================================================
