         PROF. WEBSTER COOK, superintendent of schools, is a native of
       Ann Arbor, Mich. He graduated at the University of Michigan,
       in 1878, and since that time has been engaged in teaching and 
       educational work. He taught at Union City, Mich., three years, 
       and came from that place to Manistee, in the Fall of 1881, to 
       accept the position of superintendent of schools in this city. 
       His work thus far has been highly satisfactory.
