Sunday, 25 March 1860

         Sudden Death - JOSEPH B. PARSON, of Raisen in this
       county, died very suddenly on Friday evening last. He
       was as well as usual during the day, and attended to
       his ordinary business, ate a hearty supper, and wrote
       one or two letters in the evening, retiring to rest at
       the usual hour. About midnight MRS. P. heard him breath-
       ing heavily, and after trying to rouse him, without suc-
       cess, arose and struck a light, but, upon returning to
       the bed, found that he had ceased breathing. He was
       recently from Canada West.
