The Hillsdale Standard
Tuesday, 26 December 1854

         Killed - We learn from the Adrian Watchtower, that
       a citizen of that place, a resident of the city for
       the last two years, by the name of HOWE, was instant-
       aneously killed on the morning of the 16th inst., by
       the falling of a staging on which he was at work at
       the completion of a house owned by JOHN CLARK, Esq.
       MR. HOWE was an enterprising man, about forty-five
       years of age, a native of Western New York, and his
       capacity as an architect and builder, had secured
       to him a large business. He leaves no wife, but a
       family of four grown and worthy children to mourn
       his loss.
