He died miserably, the victim of an ungovernable appetite. JOE'S life in this county for at least a quarter of a century is well known. Let it be a study to those who may profit by it. When he was a boy, his father kept the best hotel in Tecumseh. JOE was married and had a large family of children. Within the past year he made a resolute effort to master his passion for stimulating drinks, and was able for several months to keep himself from them, but his habit - his second nature - again asserted its supremacy, and last Thursday it was found necessary to place him under restraint, - he was taken to jail, and there, on Friday evening, after a scene scarcely less heartrending than if he had died of hydrophobia, death came and relieved him from his thralldom. - Adrian Watchtower, Aug. 15 ===========================================================================
