The circumstances attending the accident, as related to us by Dr. Todd, are as follows: MR. ALFRED HALL had been out in the morning with a double-barrel shot-gun to shoot some pigeons, and returned his gun to its customary place over a door, with one barrel charged. The gun had been kept in the same place during the last five years, and was supposed to be perfectly se- cure. On Friday evening, however, by some means per- fectly inexplicable, the gun fell from its place at the moment when MR. HALL had passed out of the door, and discharged with the muzzle towards MR. HALL and within two feet of him, as he was going down the steps from the door. A number of the shot took effect in his side between the ribs and hip, several passing beneath the skin and out about two inches from the place of entrance. The wounds are not serious, but it may be considered a very singular accident and a narrow escape. - Adrian Watchtower, Jan. 9. ===========================================================================
