         Almont, Mich., July 10 - While HARRY CARPENTER, aged 14,
       was engaged in removing a shell from a gun, it exploded,
       the charge entering the face of his sister BESSIE, aged
       11. She died in two hours. The accident occurred two and
       a half miles north of here.
