George Morrell, and Hon. Norman Davison, associate, who presided at the first term that convened in the County on October 17, 1837; follow- ed by Hons. Charles N. Whipple, Daniel Goodwin, Warner Wing, Sanford M. Green, Josiah Turner, James S. Dewey, Levi B. Taft, Augustus C. Baldwin, S. B. Gaskill, William W. Stickney, Joseph B. Moore, George Smith, W. B. Williams, Walter S. Wixon and H. H. Smith. EARLY ATTORNEYS The pioneer members of the Lapeer County bar were: Silas D. McKeen, Noah H. Hart and Col. Jonathan R. White.
