Page & Co., Chicago, 1884 Page 41 WILLIAM W. HEWITT was born in Canada April 9, 1833. Was brought up on a farm. In 1850 he moved to St. Clair, Mich., and was there engaged principally in farming, following also other employments. From there he came to Almont village in 1858 and was for fourteen years engaged in selling fanning-mills, also carrying on a meat market a portion of the time. Eleven years ago he bought the farm on which he now lives, southeast quarter of northeast quarter of section 20 and ten acres adjoining. He was married in 1855 to MARY THOMPSON, a native of Canada, and has five children. ===========================================================================
