This firm is composed of ISAIAH C. WATSON and WILLIAM WALLS, and was established in the fall of 1873. They now carry an average stock of $50,000. In the years 1877-78-79, they worked the Allouez Mine on tribute, and pro- duced an average of 1,000 tons of copper per year. ISAIAH C. WAT- SON, senior partner of the firm of WATSON & WALLS, was born in Canada, November 15, 1843; came to Lake Superior in 1859, and came direct to Hancock; was employed at the Franklin Mine twelve years as assistant clerk; went to Iowa and spent two years; he then re- turned to Lake Superior and formed the present partnership. ==========================================================================
