H. TAYLOR, surface foreman of the Conglomerate Mining Company, was born in the province of New Brunswick, September 12, 1852; he was brought up in that country, and, in 1875, went to New Hampshire, where he worked as carpenter till 1878, when he came to Lake Superior. Here he was employed at the Phoenix Mine as foreman carpenter, till May, 1881; he then accepted his present position. ==========================================================================
