ADA WILMARTH Is Taken By Death Pioneer Resident Here Dies Wednesday After Three Years' Illness Came Here in 1858 MRS. ADA B. WILMARTH, pioneer resident of Grand Rapids, died at her home, 216 College ave., N.E., early Wednesday morning after an illness of three years. MRS. WILMARTH was the widow of OSCAR R. WILMARTH, who died four years ago. She was 83 years old, and was born in Bristol, N.Y. June 20, 1834. MRS. WILMARTH was married in 1858 in East Bloomfield, N.Y., and came to Grand Rapids the same year. Mr. and Mrs. WILMARTH first made their home in the Squire Henry house at the head of Monroe ave., where the Press build- ing now stands. She was an active worker in the M. E. church, then known as the Division av. church. She was for many years a member of the United Benevolent associa- tion. MRS. WILMARTH is survived by two sons, OSCAR B. and LEWIS T. WILMARTH, and one daughter, MRS. S. A. MORMAN, all of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at the residence of OSCAR B. WILMARTH, 220 College av., Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be private. Interment in Oak Hill. ===============================================================================
