           JOHNSON - John E. Johnson, aged 67,
            of 245 Seward Ave., NW, passed away
            Monday evening at Sunshine Hospital
            after a long illness. Surviving are his
            wife, Mrs. Bertha Johnson; one son,
            Kenneth J. Johnson, of Grand Rapids;
            two daughters, Mrs. Preston Maddox
            of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Joel Witherell
            of Lansing; one brother, George Johnson
            of St. Helen, Mich.; 21 grandchildren;
            40 great-grandchildren. Funeral services
            will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30
            in the Arsulowicz Brothers Funeral
            Chapel, where Mr. Johnson reposes.
            Interment Fairplains Cemetery.
