MR. HARRIS has lived on the same farm for over forty years and been esteemed as an upright and industrious man by his neigh- bors, perhaps none the less so because he was a colored man. He was fully equal to his neighbors, superior to many of them, as a farmer, and especially as a horticult- urist. He leaves a wife, children and grandchildren, and a considerable fortune to be shared among them. ===============================================================================
