LAFAYETTE REEVES, of this City, was harnessing his horse near his residence on Main street, by the wood-yard, he was kicked in the throat by the animal with such violence as to case (sic) almost immediate death. It was supposed that the jugular vein was rupt- ured by the violence, and the internal cavities were soon filled with blood. He was carried into the house, but only lived a few moments.
