LEVI BABBITT was killed Saturday afternoon, almost instantly. He was driving a very spirited pair of young horses, which became frightened and ran away, smashing up the carriage and throwing MR. BABBITT out in so violent a manner as to break his back, and from which he died in half an hour. The deceased was an old resident of Grass Lake, a man of ample means and most excellent character, was wide- ly known and universally respected. His family will have the sympathy of a very numerous circle of friends in this terribly trying bereavement - Jackson Citizen ===========================================================================
