Ingham County News
9th March, 1893

         ELIAS J. SMITH, for a great many years a resident of this
       village, died at the residence of his son, MARK, at Chicago,
       on Friday, March 3d. He was buried at Stockbridge Sunday.
       His age was 75 years. MR. SMITH held of the office of justice
       of the peace for a good many years and was also township
       clerk of this township.
