Chapman Brothers, Chicago, 1884 [301] JOHN SCHREIBER, farmer, section 21, Sand Beach Township, is a son of CHRISTOPHER SCHREIBER, who lived and died in Germany. JOHN emigrated to America in 1852 and lived one year in Buffalo, N.Y. He next bought a farm in Macomb Co., Mich., and lived there 1879, then sold out and purchased 40 acres where he now resides. He has the whole tract cleared and in a good condition of high cultiva- tion. On governmental policy MR. S. takes Republican views, and both himself and wife are members of the Lutheran Church. Oct. 3, 1852, he married MISS CATHERINE MOLLAR, who was born in Germany, March 14, 1830.
