The boy was struck in the head and knocked off into the bushes at the side of the track. KABIO'S brother, aged eight, who was an eye-witness of the accident, was so overcome when his brother was hit that he fainted. The boys were on their way home from the Isle Royale mill school when MATTI met his death. They were chas- ing a squirrel just before the train came up and MATTI was so interested in the pursuit that he did not see or hear the train in time to get clear of the track, although his brother managed to step aside to safety. MATTI and his brother have been inmates of the Good Will Farm for over a year. Their mother is dead, while the whereabouts of the father are unknown. He lived at Atlantic about a year ago, but left that place for parts unknown. When the mother died the boys were placed in the Good Will Farm home, the father being incapable of supporting them. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made. ===========================================================================
