Marquette, Mich., May 23. - Full details from Lake Linden show that fully 2000 people are sufferers from the recent fire. JOHN CASEY, alias "REDDY," was sleep- ing in HOSKINS' when the fire broke out. HOSKINS' son woke CASEY, but he lay down again and was burned to death. Telegrams and letters asking aid for the suffer- ers have been sent out and the people are responding freely. The villages of Hancock and Houghton contributed $5000. Prominent men all over the copper country are raising money. Mayor N**ter, H. C. THUROER and PETER WHITE, of this city, headed the list with $300 each. Prompt assistance is needed. All money should be addressed to Dr. FLETCHER, Lake Linden, Mich. ===========================================================================
