                           GRAND TRAVERSE

        The county has purchased twenty acres of land for an infirmary.
     It owns a two story frame building in Traverse City which is rented to
     a keeper who cares for the poor under contract; a few others are cared
     for in private families at expense of the county.  The erection of an
     infirmary is contemplated.
