SHIER, of Watersmeet, died of general debility in a hospital at Stambaugh Dec. 27. While he had been in declining health for some time, his fatal illness extended over a period of only two weeks. Deceased was 76 years old. For several years past he spent a portion of the time at his old home at East Jordan, Mich., the remainder with his son, RICHARD R. SHIER, at Watersmeet. Deceased was born in Ontario, but came to Michigan when a young man. He is survived by the widow, two sons and three daughters, MRS. R. F. STEFFES, MISS BERTHA SHIER and JOHN SHIER, of East Jordan, MRS. FRED HUFTILE of Montana, and R. R. SHIER of Watersmeet. The body was removed from Stanbaugh to Watersmeet, and on Thursday was taken to Bessemer for burial, the funeral occurring there Thursday afternoon. The REV. C. M.
