Returning to Watersmeet Friday afternoon after serving a 15 day sentence in the county jail, WAINO PETOLA, a woodsman, went to sleep in the basement of the Kelly hotel and when he was found he was dead. The cause of the man's death is not known. J. B. Chappell, who was called to Watersmeet as coroner in the case, is trying to locate relatives of PETOLA. Little is known about the man at Watersmeet. He had been there on numerous occasions in the past, making the village his home between the times when he was working in the woods. PETOLA had hired out to a logger working in the vicinity of Lake Gogebic and was supposed to have got off the train at Gogebic, but in- stead he went on to Watersmeet. No inquest will be held in the case as there is no indication of foul play, said Coroner Chappell today. Unless relatives are located, PETOLA will be buried as a county charge. ===========================================================================
