Aug 1875 - Crewman James Hanson, of Milwaukee, struck on head by main boom and died at Port Huron 27 Sep 1876 - Lost jib and tore off fore gaff during a gale on Lake Huron. Running back she collided with the schooner LEONARD SEATON, at anchor, off Port Huron. 25 Oct 1876 - Struck reef at S. Manitou Island. Lost both anchors and sprang a leak. 26 Mar 1879 - Aground on the bar at Grand Haven. No damage. 4 Nov 1884 - Collision on Lake Erie. Run into by barge COMPOUND. 24 Sep 1894 - Upbound, grounded near head of Hay Lake channel. Released after lightering part of her coal cargo. 27 July 1896 - Stranded near Vermilion Point, Lake Superior, while under tow of steamer BYRON WHITAKER. 22 Oct 1903 - Bound Buffalo for Duluth in tow of propeller GETTYSBURG.
