TONNAGE: 1,211.88 gt DIMENSIONS: 221.42 x 36.25 x 17 (depth reduced to 10' in 1902) CASUALTIES: 0 SURVIVORS: On October 14, 1886, the JOHN PRIDGEON, JR., rank into and sank the propeller SELAH CHAMBERLAIN on Lake Michigan. Two days later the PRIDGEON was seized by U.S. Marhals and libeled for $65,000. September 18, 1909, the PRIDGEON developed a serious leak during a strong storm on Lake Erie and foundered.
