Oct. 1871 - Lost mainboom on Lake Erie. Nov. 1871 - Lost canvas on Lake Erie. June 1874 - Collision with piers at Chicago Oct. 1876 - Lost portion of deck-load on Lake Michigan 24 Nov. 1882 - En route from Frankfort, MI., to Chicago with shingles when set upon by a sudden gale with blinding snow. Stranded 500 feet from the beach at Big Point Sable.
