MASTER: Capt. Levi Hunt TONNAGE: abt. 600 t DIMENSIONS: ? CASUALTIES: 0 Downbound Milwaukee to Buffalo with 10,000 bushels of wheat and about 2,500 barrels of flour when the upbound schooner J. H. TIFFANY cut across her bow. The unavoidable collision sent both vessels to the bottom. No lives were lost from the MILWAUKEE and the survivors were picked up by the propeller FREE STATE which was close at hand.
