TONNAGE: 287.78 gt DIMENSIONS: 135.7 x 26.2 x 11.1 CASUALTIES: 0 SURVIVORS: ? Along with the schooner MEARS was in tow of the propeller WILHELM, bound Cheboygan to Buffalo, when a gale set in. The MIDNIGHT lost her deckload when off Thunder Bay and hung her red light to signal the WILHELM of her distress, which was ignored. The next morning the tow line parted and both schooners went ashore, becoming a total loss.
