Sinclair, Port Huron, MI TONNAGE: 1,810 gt DIMENSIONS: 281.1 x 41.4 x 20 CASUALTIES: 0 of 18 LANGHAM was bound up the lakes to Port Arthur with a cargo of coal when she took shelter from a storm at Bete Grise Bay. She was riding at anchor when a fire of unknown origin broke out under the forward deck. Flames prevented the crew from raising the anchor and, after opening the safety valves to prevent boiler explosion, were forced to take to the yawls.
