The GLOBE left the mouth of the Kalamazoo river on the night of Saturday, 14 December, 1858, with Captain Olson, his brother, one seaman and 4 passengers; a a married couple and their two children. Her cargo was lumber, lathe and leather. Her wreckage was found on the beach Monday morning.
