Fick TONNAGE: 1,848.81 gt, 1476.33 nt DIMENSIONS: 282.2 x 41.5 x 20.1 CASUALTIES: 0 of 17 The FEDORA was bound light, from Duluth to Ashland, to load iron ore when she caught fire off Basswood island. Capt. Fick ran her for the shore, landing at a point five miles north of Bayfield where she burned to the water's edge. Insured for $85,000 which is just what Capt. Brown had paid James McBrier for her a little over a year before. The underwriters sold the burned wreck to the Red Cliff Lumber Company for $2,500.
