Donald McLain TONNAGE: 1,310.41 gt, 912.43 nt DIMENSIONS: 202 x 26 x 13.5 CASUALTIES: 0 of 24 crew and 17 passengers She was carrying a load merchandise, flour and corn from South Chicago to St. Joseph, MI. when she ran on a sand bar during a storm and was dashed to pieces. Passengers and crew were taken off in the breeches buoy by the St. Joseph lifesaving crew.
