MASTER: - TONNAGE: 1642 DIMENSIONS: 249.25 x 41.75 x 15.25 CASUALTIES: - November, 1894, on the reef near Hyde Park. Damage $9,500. Nov. 7, 1921 stranded a mile south of Wickes Point, Lake Ontario during a storm while bound Chicago to Kingston with grain.. Owned by Prindiville & Sons, Chicago. Abandoned to the underwriters as a constructive total loss. Refloated and sold Canadian. Stranded off Belleville, Ont., in Bay of Quinte on Dec. 1, 1962. Released and towed into shallow water but was gutted by fire the following May and was scrapped in place. In 1896 the ARAGON carried a cargo of 75,000 bushesl of wheat through the Welland canal.
