WRIGHT'S FUNERAL The body of Captain WILLIAM H. WRIGHT, of the James Carruthers, was brought to Toronto yesterday afternoon, and the funeral took place from his residence at No. 92 Delaware avenue at 2:30 this afternoon. Rev. R. J. Moore, of St. George's Episcopal Church, conducted the ceremony, and the commander of the Carruthers was laid to rest in Prospect Cemetery. The chief mourners were his wife and little daughter, his mother, MRS> EDWARD LANKIN, CAPT. JAMES EWART, of Toronto, A. G. GIBSON, Cleveland, G. J. GIBSON, Toronto, GEORGE T. IRWIN, Toronto, ROBERT LOUDON, Toronto. A simple tribute was contained in a wreath of white roses. It bore a card on which was the name JAMES CAR- RUTHERS, after whom the ship was named. Besides flowers from a large number of friends, a wreath was sent from the Lakeview Curling Club, of which CAPTAIN WRIGHT was a member, and whose officers acted as pall-bearers. The pall-bearers were CHARLES SNOW, ROBERT YOUNG, HENRY BAYLISS, DR. T. F. WYLIE, JAMES SWORD, J. J. BRENNAN. The members of the club made a special request that they be allowed to act. ===========================================================================
