         FLINT, April 21. -
         ALEXANDER McFARLAN, one of the most prominent
       business men of Flint, died this evening. He had
       been Mayor of the city, President of the Citizens'
       National Bank, and was the Democratic candidate
       for State Treasurer a few years since. He was the
       owner of a large lumber mill and large amount of
       real estate in this city.
