XII No. 25 State Gleanings: - JOHN DRESSER, one of the earliest pioneers of Genessee (sic) County, died on the the 11th ult. from the effects of blood poisoning. He was 75 years old and had been a resident of Flint for over a quarter of a century. He was a very eccentric man and had his coffin ready- made in his house for over a year past. It was made of rough pine boards by his express order, and upon it are a number of quotations from the Bible against the love of pomp and display. ===========================================================================
